Dear Parents and Carers
Exciting news!
The Catholic Schools Office contacted us this week to tell us that we have been scooped up in the Covid Support Program. This means next year we will have additional support for our children who were impacted by the 2020 or 2021 shut down. In 2022 we will offer extra classroom teacher support for our learners in literacy and numeracy. We are in the process of analysing our data to ensure that we offer the best targeted programs. The Diocese has added seven schools to this list due to their SES rating. This is a significant opportunity from the State Government to support all learners.
Today the children whose parents were able to download and log in to Compass received icy poles. I have icy poles for all children as families come on board. If you need more information please contact me. Could I suggest you check your Junk folder for the email with your user name and password. If you still can't find it I have a master list. You know where I am!
Thanks again for your support.
Have a great weekend.
Ann
Lost Property
Next week (Tuesday) we are hoping weather permitting to put this assortment outside the gate near the letter box. Have you noticed the random shoe in this picture?
RE News
Did you set up your Christmas tree early this year? In amongst the drizzly rain (and wet washing!), pulling out the sparkling, happy ornaments reminds us of Christmases past and can’t help but fill us with childlike delight, joy and hope for good things to come. Perhaps you are more of a traditionalist and waited for the first Sunday of Advent.
This is the first week of Advent where we gather in faith, listen to scripture encouraging us to prepare for the coming of the Saviour and light the first candle on the Advent wreath: The candle of hope. We encourage you to speak with your children about what they have been learning about the season of Advent with their class.
This Advent, as we commence our new Liturgical Year, may we be graced with our own personal epiphanies and learn to find signs of God’s grace, love and hope in all things. God is found in unexpected places and working through unexpected people.
Many thanks to all of our families for their generous donations to our St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal Hampers. The hampers are looking amazing and will brighten many people’s Christmas. The last date to bring these items in will be by Tuesday 7th Dec please.

ES1
This week we said goodbye to our friends Nicholas and James. We wish them all the best on their travels and in their next chapter in Ireland! Thanks for our friendship bracelets. Early Stage One students are learning all about how Advent is a time of waiting. We changed our prayer cloth to purple and students have been retelling special Bible stories using our storytelling kit. On the 1st December, a Kindergarten Elf arrived! It wrote a message on the whiteboard and told us all to spread kindness. Oh the excitement!
Stage 1
In maths this week we have been exploring quadrilaterals, parallel lines and lines of symmetry. Students have been thinking deeply and enjoying their learning discoveries. Here are some samples for the rich tasks that we have been working on.
