Can't Wait to Welcome Kindergarten Next Week
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to the school year 2022.
This week we have completed our Project 72, where we build a community between the students and the new staff teams. The goal is to know the DNA of our learners.
DNA stands for desires, needs and aspirations.
The teachers have really enjoyed the time with all your children and have lots to celebrate with you and the learners and of course some questions to ask too!
We have just returned from the pool where I am not sure if it was wetter in the pool or on the sidelines. Either way the children were wonderful. I feel like a cracked record because I think I say it every year.
Thank you so much to the hardy parents who joined us on the day and the staff who kept the children organised and engaged.
We would call the participations levels really high again even with the reduced numbers at school this week.
2022
We begin the year with 156 children across the stages and several classes full. While we have a capacity of 175, the goal is to make the stages even with 25 children per year level.
Family-wise we have 115 families in the school. Can we welcome the 13 new familes who have joined us at Saint James. We know that the parent community will make these families very welcome as always.
Thank you for your engagement with COMPASS. If you are still stuck please ring the school and ask for me. If I can not solve the issue I will refer it to the "expert" at CSO.
Looking forward to seeing you all once more.
Ann

Stage 1
Welcome back to Stage 1! What a wonderful week we have had getting to know our new peers and teachers. We have played lots of team building games, enjoyed getting creative in art and in our writing.
Here are some examples of what we have done so far.
Stage 3
Welcome back for another fantastic year of learning in Stage 3!
As part of Project 72- building relationships with classmates and teachers, we have been learning how to create mosaic artworks using google suite applications. Check them out below!
We were also given a STEM challenge to complete, where we had to build the tallest tower using various materials. This activity fosters teamwork and builds relationships between students. Have a look below!
